CHEER: Christian Home Educators -

CHEER is a Bible believing support group, dedicated to providing encouragement and support for parents, as well as a variety of educational and extra-curricular activities for our children. Our goal is to provide support for the new as well as the experienced home schooler in our task of training up godly children.
While we realize that all home school families have much to offer each other, we also believe that families who have the bond of a common faith can function much better as a group in achieving the goal mentioned above. Therefore, we ask that all members agree with our statement of faith.

Classical At Home

Classical At Home

Classical At Home is a network of families supporting one another as we seek to educate our children at home. The common denominator of our participants is their approach to education, namely a Classical approach. We base our approach on classical methods such as "The Well Trained Mind" by Jessie Wise and Susan Wise Bauer. We support all faiths and families in their Homeschool approaches. We do not require a statement of faith.

Considering Homeschooling of Boise

Considering Homeschooling of Boise, Idaho seeks to connect the new generation of Christian parents (those with babies, toddlers, preschoolers, those with children in public school, and even those with their oldest child in the womb) with private biblical homeschool groups who are open to them.

The mission of Considering Homeschooling is to impact the world for Jesus Christ by encouraging Christians to homeschool from a biblical worldview, especially starting when their children are babies, toddlers, preschoolers; and equipping individuals, families, churches, homeschool groups and other organizations to engage in homeschool evangelism.

Providence Homeschool Co-op at Calvary Chapel in Meridian

Hello families,
Many of you know that Calvary Chapel Meridian will be starting a homeschool co-op Monday September 12.  Some of you have already contacted me to tell me that you want to attend and for others this is a first email with information on the co-op.  The co-op will meet weekly on Mondays (calendar attached) at 9:30 a.m. beginning with chapel and ending with closing prayer and optional lunch time.  I have attached information for you to review to see if your family may be interested in attending.  If you know you want to attend, please complete the registration information and send or email directly to me.  Since this is our first year meeting as a co-op so the sooner I have your information the better it is for planning etc.
The co-op will provide a nursery and preschool.  We will have a music class and other ideas for classes include art, creative writing, public speaking, literature, grammar and science.  The possiblities are endless as parents step up to share their interests, ideas and talents.  Our current needs include: more teachers, worship leader for chapel, preschool and nursery volunteers, p.e. teacher, a flag for the stage and a copy machine.  All families are welcome to attend providing they agree to the philosophy of the ministry.
I understand that a co-op is not a good fit for every family and so I would be grateful if you join us in prayer for this ministry as an outreach of Calvary Chapel Meridian.
If you are interested in teaching, some class ideas include:
P.E. and Health
Early Reading
Early Learners Math
Apologia Sciences
Bible Quizzing
Lessons in a musical instrument
Baby sitting
Interactive Games
Idaho History
Home Economics
Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions,

Jaclyn Lopez

Southern Idaho Homeschool Information

Southern Idaho Homeschool Information, Yahoo email group :

This group is designed to be an information resource and support to homeschoolers in the Southwest Idaho/Treasure Valley area. Many of the people in this group meet in person for outings, field trips, support and friendship. Join us and share your favorite field trip locations, curriculum, methods, beliefs, ideas and any other information that may be of interest to other homeschoolers---area support groups, ICHE alerts, upcoming events, your child is in a play, a book your family enjoys, etc; are good examples.
This group is a place to ask for ideas and advice, share information and inspiration. It is a place where members show each other respect; respect for their differences of perspective and opinion. Respect for the idea that each of us is on our own path, in a different place on this journey to educate our children outside the walls of a school.

University Baptist Church- Home School Academy

Possibly stating up in Boise

contact person is David Hardesty (He is heading up the school)

contact email =

University Baptist Church has been in discussion to start a Home School Academy.  We are looking for feedback from the community to see his would be helpful or not. We envision classes starting in September and functioning on a semester basis.  They would be taught by experienced Christian school teachers whose aim would be to supplement what a parent can do at home, not replace parent-led education.  We have a pastor in our church who has been a school administrator and he is taking the lead on designing the program, making sure the quality is excellent both academically and spiritually.

Please send answers below questions in your query email

1.  Would you be interested in joining a home school academy, where classes outside of the parents' ability or expertise would be taught by experienced Christian teachers?

  2.  Would you support a home school academy conducted in the college format of class twice a week, with readings and homework for the off-days?

3.  Which of these classes would be most interesting to you?

  • Art
  • Composition / Language Art
  • Literature (Great books for great kids!)
  •  Math for Beginners (Grade 1-3)
  • Advanced Math (Grades 4-6)

Vineyard Homeschool Co-op

Vineyard Homeschool Co-op

The  Vineyard Christian Home School Co-Op is an important part of the Family Ministries at Vineyard Boise's. We currently have classes for students from pre-school through the 8th grade. Their families pay tuition to support the part-time teaching staff, principal, and cover operating expenses.

Our vision is to help families who want to home-school their kids. We come alongside them and support their home-schooling efforts.

The school has chosen a Bible-based curriculum, and teachers develop lesson schedules and learning expectations all empowering parents to be the primary teachers. "We're just the secondary teachers," the school administration says. In our school students spend Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays learning at home and on Tuesdays and Thursdays they attend school at Vineyard Boise's Ezra Family Center.

Vineyard Home School Co-Op is not for everybody, but if you want to home-school this might be just the program you have been looking for.

For further information contact the school office - 377-1477.
